Art in the Sanctuary

The theme  for May was “Authenticity and Truth” and June is “Beloved Community.” The works illustrate the artists’ response to the themes. The Photo Essay by Jim Seavey reflects our relationship with our Partner Church, Pingwait Unitarian in Meghalaya, Northeast India, and NEI Unitarians in general. Jonah Eller-Isaacs paintings are about different aspects of community. Peggy Wilkerson’s photo triptych (echoed by one by Jim Seavey) is about a vision of graffiti as a reflection of community, and her painting a reflection on authenticity.
