Chalice Fire is the Pagan ministry at FUUN, and a chapter of CUUPs (Covenant of UU Pagans). We facilitate participatory experiences of connection for our growing UU and Pagan community.
We do NOT assume or require that participants have pagan beliefs. Pagans are welcome, UUs are welcome, atheists and humanists are welcome, everyone who affirms the 7 UU Principles and is looking for an experience of connection is welcome! The experience is the important part, not the idea of what you are connecting to or how that connection happens.
Our rituals are open, and either child-friendly or have childcare available in the nursery.
Rituals for Daily Life
1st & 3rd Thursdays 7-8:30 p.m. Thoreau Room, main church building (look for a sign on the door if you don’t know where to go)
This is an open ritual practice group. Distress happens. It can wrap us up and leave us feeling tangled. Other times, the universe and/or our subconscious mind sends us flashing neon signs. Maybe we can read them, and maybe they are written in “Greek”. Bring what is on your mind/heart and together we will work on creating ease, clarity, and mutual support.
NO PAGAN BELIEFS REQUIRED. Childcare available in the nursery.
Full Moon Drum Circles
7-11 p.m., Morgan House (maroon house behind main church building, same parking lot)
Gather/set up/warm up begins at 7 p.m. drumming officially begins after our (short and prompt) 8 p.m. circle. The circling up portion is optional, please participate at your own level of comfort. No pagan beliefs required. Everyone is welcome!
Bring a potluck snack to share, plus drums, dancing jingles, etc. This is a child-friendly event!

As we turn the Wheel of the Year (i.e. celebrate the solar cycles, like the Drum Circles celebrate the lunar cycles), we are also setting intentions and directing our energy toward building a more just and equitable world. Child-friendly.
