FUUN FILM: The acclaimed documentary film 13th, March 8

FUUN FILM: The acclaimed documentary film 13th looks in depth at the Thirteenth Amendment to the US Constitution, which abolished slavery and indentured servitude. In this thought-provoking documentary, scholars, activists, and politicians analyze the prison industrial complex and the history of racial inequality in the United States. The film will be shown at the Frist Museum, March 8,  7 p.m., followed by a special Q&A with Project Return, a nonprofit non-faith-based organization that provides supportive services for individuals returning to society after incarceration. (May be unsuitable for those under 17.) The film, relevant to the church-wide reading of Just Mercy, will be shown again in May and is available on Netflix. Those interested in carpooling or meeting at the Frist showing please contact Deborah Wilbrink, or beloved@thefuun.org
