From the Endowment Trust Trustees
Time to Apply for a Grant
Each spring, FUUN’s Trustees consider allocating endowment funds to special projects that further the principles of Unitarian Universalism and the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville. This year, the total amount given out for all grants combined will be nearly $22,000 due to the large bequest left by Hilda Ratner. Please look for the grant request guidelines on the
Endowment Trust webpage of the FUUN website and consider what you might want to make happen.
To be considered, your grant request must be submitted in electronic form to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than March 31, 2017. The Trustees will review submissions during April and May. The awarded grants will be announced at FUUN’s annual meeting in June. In the grant decision-making process, Trustees will give preference to social justice, service oriented or community-building projects. The Trust does not fund compensation for volunteer labor, though exceptions may be made where the nature of the project makes use of a church member’s livelihood. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Trustees with any questions.
