Changes to Spending Policy and Grant Guidelines are being recommended by the Endowment Trustees. A town hall meeting will be held on Jan. 21 at 12:30 p.m. (after the second service) in the sanctuary to provide additional information and obtain feedback from members and friends on the Endowment Trust draft resolution
As the Endowment Trust investments have nearly tripled recently to over $600,000, the Trustees have been conducting forums to solicit feedback from members, key committees, and the Board on how we will be responsible stewards of these funds. Taking into account what we’ve heard, changes are being proposed to the Endowment Spending Policy including a lower limit to total grants and an annual award to the Finance Committee for capital projects as prioritized by the Board of FUUN.
Grant selection will now focus on larger grants that benefit FUUN. The need for smaller sums of money will be directed to other resources within the church such as Social Justice Committee for consideration as Share the Plate recipients or the Finance Committee for funding of smaller needs within the church.
The resolution and revised Grant Proposal Guidelines and Criteria are available online at www.thefuun.org/endowment-trust.
